Passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at the Montreal General Hospital. He is survived by his wife Ibolya Kalos, his step-children Gyula, Hegedus and his family in Hungary. Also Henry Horvath and his family in Winnipeg, his brother-in-law Alexander (Mirelle), nieces Cathy (Slyvan) and Sandra (Jake). He will be remembered by his many friends in Montreal, Sarasota, Bradenton and Budapest. I'm sure a lot of folk dancers will miss him in both Canada and the U.S. Funeral mass to be held on Saturday, September 1, 2001 at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Hungary Church, 90 Guizot Street, Montreal. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to M.A. Blythe Bernier. The Montreal Gazette, August 25, 2001
