(nee Lacasse) In her 68th year, with joie de vivre until the bitter end, Jeannette passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2001, surrounded by love, her adoring family and in the arms of her daughter. An amazing woman who loved fiercely and who rose above adversity and tragedy with tremendous courage, dignity and grace. She will be dearly missed every hour of every day by her grandchildren, Zachary, Piper and Madison, who so filled her life with love, laughter and joy. Jeannette also leaves behind her daughter and constant companion, Joanne (Douglas Edwards); devoted son Robert (Michelle); beloved sister Helene (Barry Ford); and caring ex-husband, Roland. She was predeceased by her younger brother, Rene (Monique) and her parents, Elzear Lacasse and Coulombe Gauthier. She will also be remembered as adoring "Matte" of Julie, and second Mom and special friend to so many, including Paul, Denise, Shelley, Mike, Gary, Don and all those whose lives she touched and greatly enriched.
