Peacefully at the West End Villa, Ottawa, on Thursday, August 23, 2001, Jean Welch (Ballantyne), formerly of the Metcalfe Golf & Country Club, Metcalfe, Ontario, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Welch (1996). Loving mother of Marilyn (Bruce Wallbridge) of Erin, Ontario, Tom (Gloria) and Scott, all of Metcalfe. Dear grandmother of Tawnie McNabb and Tara Wallbridge and great-grandmother of Logan, Noah, Brittany and Brianna. Dear sister of Elizabeth Nantel of Toledo, Ontario and Stuart (Helen) Ballantyne of Brockville. Predeceased by sisters Margaret MacDonald and Ethel Bruyea and brothers David and Bob Ballantyne. Close friends and relatives are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Duncan Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 2371 Highway 31 (between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner).
