B.A. M.Ed. CD Harold Lester Veteran WWII (5 CCCS), Cdn Army (RCA), Teacher Ottawa Board A wonderful man, a fine teacher and a devoted husband and father passed away August 25, 2001 after a long brave struggle with Parkinson's disease. Beloved husband of Norma for over 58 loving years. His children; Les (Ginger) Corbett, Peggy (Rick) Rayner and Peter (Colleen) Corbett will sorely miss his determined spirit and clever wit. His grandchildren; Bill (Jacqui), Brian (Angele), Jean, Melissa, Gordon, Ian and Erin will dearly miss his loving nature and his renowned aquatic skills. His great-grandchildren, Katie and Benjamin, will have but a fleeting memory. His sister Dorothy (Jack) MacGregor and his brother Doug (Ruth) Corbett will find there lives less full. His nieces and nephews, who knew him well, will also miss him. Many thanks to the staff from the VON, Paramed, the Pembroke General and Marianhill for their kindness. A very special thank you to Dr. Lloyd for many years of care. Les' life will be remembered at a Memorial Service to be held at All Saint's Anglican Church, Victoria St., Petawawa on Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. with interment at a later date. Donations to the Parkinson's Society or to the Pembroke General Hospital CT Scan Fund. Arrangements by Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. The Ottawa Citizen, August 27, 2001
