Born in Montreal November 6, 1923, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer August 28, 2001. He leaves his loving wife of fifty-seven years Dorothy, daughter Janet (Ross) Ogilvie, son Gary (Roz), grandchildren Tyler, Alaysha and Ashley, close family friend Gloria. Predeceased by his mother and father, brothers Joe and Ben, sisters Vera, Florence, and Grace. Donald arrived in Victoria during the war as a radio operator in the Navy, serving in the fisherman's reserve ("Gum Boot Navy") and overseas. After the war he became an I.B.E.W. electrician for forty-two years, twenty-five years in Victoria and seventeen years in Vancouver as an estimator/Project Manager before retiring in 1989. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. The family thanks Dr. Madill, Dr. Cameron, Dr. Martin, and the staff of Memoriam Pavillion 3rd floor Kenning Wing. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 1st at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1155 Fort Street at 2:30 p.m. followed by a reception. Flowers Gratefully declined.
