Steve lost his battle with lymphoma September 2, 2001 after a gallant fight at MGH at the age of forty-five. He leaves to mourn his wife and best friend, Nancy MacDonald. He will be sadly missed by his in-laws Elain (Flora) and Don MacDonald, his parents Rose and Issie Caplan, his sister Elaine (Rudy Kruidbos) and their children Tabi, Sonia and Mike, also his best buddies Fred and Ian. The visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Boulevard, on Tuesday, September 4 from 7 to 9, Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Rideau Funeral Chapel on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. A special thanks to Dr. Whittemore, Cora, Sonia and all of his angels on the 7th and 17th floors.
