(Bell Pioneer) In hospital on September 3, 2001 in her 95th year. Violet was the daughter of William Fred Leftly and Eliza Mary Armstrong. Dear sister of Elmsley Leftly. Predeceased by a sister Phyllis Ferris (February 23, 2001) and brothers Nelson, Emerson, Alvinston and Sylvester Leftly. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Friends may call at the Whelan Funeral Home, 515 Cooper Street (between Bay and Lyon) on Thursday, September 6th from 6-9 p.m. Funeral to St. Luke's Church, 760 Somerset Street West on Friday at 11 a.m., followed by cremation and final interment of ashes at Beechwood Cemetery.
