Long-time career with the federal government in the Departments of Supply and Services, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, Treasury Board and presently with the Public Service Commission. Suddenly on Monday, September 3, 2001 as the result of a massive stroke while on vacation. Susan Newton 48 years young, cherished daughter of Helena Newton (Dick Gagne) and Richard Newton. Much loved sister of Joan Lajeunesse (George), Lia Newton and James Newton. Lovingly remembered by her step-son Tyler Devooght and the Devooght family. Beloved aunt of Scott McKenzie (Nadine), Andrew, Matthew and Sean Lajeunesse; great-aunt of Haleigh and Nicholas McKenzie. Forever remembered by Joan Langley and her children Chris and Stephanie, Sharon Casey, Sheila Moore and many other friends whose lives she touched in her special way. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 3-9 p.m. Funeral Service Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church (Cumberland Avenue and Wilbrod Street).
