(Retired School Teacher) Peacefully in hospital at Ottawa on Saturday morning, September 8th, 2001, the day after her 76th birthday. Lorna Margaret Gill (nee Sereney) of RR#1, Braeside. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Gill (April 17th, 2000). Dearly loved and only daughter of the late Edgar Sereney and his wife the late Beatrice Thomlison. Lorna is survived by Jack's children: Tish, Debbie and Jim and their respective families; her aunt Mrs. Gertrude Thomlison (late Ivan) of Braeside as well as several cousins and many good friends and neighbours. Born in Braeside on September 7th, 1925, Lorna spent her early years schooling in Braeside and Arnprior. She then moved on to McGill University, Montreal where she received her teacher's degree. Many of her years as a teacher were spent in Pembroke and later in Barry's Bay. She met and married Jack, also a teacher and upon retirement, they both moved back to Braeside where they devoted much of their time to savouring the splendors of the outdoors. Friends may call at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 12 noon Tuesday. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Tuesday afternoon, September 11th at 1 o'clock The Rev. Dr. Richard Hollingsworth of Braeside United Church officiating. Interment will take place at the Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior followed by a reception in the Pilon Family Reception Centre. Donations to the Braeside United Church would be appreciated.
