Friday September 14, 2001 at St. Vincent's Hospital. Evelyn Demers born August 5, 1912 in Glen Falls, New York. Beloved wife of the late Rene Dorima Mayer. Loving mother of Jeanine D'Amour, Huguette (Roger Cousineau), Belle (Bill Ghisholm) of London, Ontario and Gery of Cochrane, Ontario. daughter of the late Isaac Demers and Alexina Leroux. Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn was raised on her parents farm in Plantagenet, Ontario and worked in the fields with her father. At 18 she married Dorima Mayer of Curran, died suddenly December 25, 1954 at the age of 42. Dorima worked with his father Eugene Mayer, owner of Cheese factories and cheesemaker, in French Hill, Sarsfield and Plantagenet in the early 1930's.
