Frederick Lawrence COONEY

Passed into the arms of God at the Joliette Hospital on Sunday, September 16, 2001 at the age of eighty. He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife, Theresa (Terry) McKenzie, Fred (Lornie), predeceased by his first wife, Ada Murray, leaves a legacy of service to others and a great sense of humour to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His wonderful spirit will endure in each of them. He will always be remembered by his children: Arlene (Bob Lapointe), Sister Lorna, SNJM, Fred (Kathy), Brenda (Richard Brisebois) and Steven (Joanne); grandchildren: Lorna, Ross, Caroline, Krista, Darryl, Kim and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Amy, Dana and Jenifer. Fred also leaves to mourn his many in-laws and countless friends and colleagues. Fred was Past Master of the Rawdon Centennial Masonic Lodge #135 and Past Grand Patron of Quebec of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a veteran of World War II and Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #198, Rawdon. Resting at White and Sons Funeral Home, 3555 Metcalfe Street (corner 3rd Ave.), Rawdon. Visitation on Tuesday, September 18, from 7 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday, September 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Thursday, September 20 from 10 a.m. His Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, September 20, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church (Eglise Marie-Reine-du-Monde), 3759 Queen Street, Rawdon, Quebec.
