(Veteran WW II-RCAF) (Retired - Statistics Canada) In hospital at Arnprior with loved ones at his side on Tuesday evening, September 18th, 2001. Gerald John Francis Shane of Arnprior at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Agnes (Nee Grignon). Dearly loved father of Jim Shane and his wife Debbie of Arnprior, Carol Shane of New York City, Linda Roach and her husband Paul of Georgetown. Dear brother of Charles Shane of Vancouver and Marion Kuntz of Ottawa. Predeceased by 3 sisters, Loyola Shane, Mary Cunningham and Doris Grondin. Cherished "Grandpa" of Amanda, Christopher, Jeremy and Kyle Roach. Friends may call at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Saturday morning, September 22nd at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow at the Malloch Road Cemetery. Donations to the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital or the St. John Chrysostom Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the Shane families.
