R.N. On Friday, September 28, 2001 Ada Dorothea Fanjoy (nee Smith) passed away at home at the age of 82 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Frederick Melvyn Fanjoy. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Barbara, Sylvia, Charlotte, Nancy and Kathleen. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Craig and Matthew Reinhardus and Andrew and Jessica Sunter. She was a special mother-in-law to Gerrit Reinhardus, Tom Sunter and Richard Robinson and grandmother-in-law to Erin Sunter. Beloved sister and sister-in-law to Murray and Phyllis Smith; Stanley and Thelma Smith; Mildred Smith and Edna Smith all of Nova Scotia. Survived by many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her many friends for their on-going support. A proud Maritimer, Ada will forever be remembered for her hospitality, brown bread, bridge games, walks and love of nursing. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave., at Richmond Road, on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church, 1099 Maitland Ave. on Monday at 1 p.m., followed by a gathering of relatives and friends.
