Of Montreal, passed away peacefully from heart disease on September 28, 2001 in Hamilton Ontario. He was in his 85th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Irene (Lynch) of 56 years. Gerald is survived by his children Ursula (late William Boeh), Mary (Tom Niggemann), Gerald (Suzanne Davidson), Martin (Sylvia McManus), and Kevin (Pat Mahoney), his grandchildren Tanya (Chip Sudolnik), Douglas (Suzette Baumgartner), Laurie-Anne, Kara, Andrew, Megan, Colleen, Kathleen and Ellen, his great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brady, Lily and baby Jack as well as his cousins Eric, Kenneth, and Mary Crawford, his sister-in-law Myrtle Curran and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was a long time employee of Sherwin Williams. In his younger days, he was a long time volunteer minor hockey coach for N.D.G. park. Gerald's caring and unselfish ways, along with his love to laugh, were not only evident to his family but to all those who came to know him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Resting at JJ Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre Dame Lachine. Funeral service in St. Monica's Church (6405 Terrebomme Ave NDG) on Saturday October 6 at 11 a.m. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday October 5 from 2 t0 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Montreal Gazette, October 3, 2001
