CAE On Sunday September 30, 2001 John Albert Long beloved husband and best friend of Joan Stella Jordan. Loving father of Paul Long (Judith) and Patricia Fierens (Dirk) and cherished grandfather of Heather and Michael Long and Timothy, Matthew and Mark Fierens. At the request of the family there will be no visitation but friends will be received prior to the Funeral at the Church. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2001 at 2pm at the Anglican Church of St. John the Devine, 105 Slack Rd. Nepean with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers it was John's wish that contributions be made to his favorite organizations: the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Institute. John served his profession and community in many ways and was recognized nationally by his professional peers.
