Died at the early age of 54, on October 3, 2001, of a long battle with cancer in Whitehorse, Yukon. Predeceased by his parents Enos John McEwan and Olive Elizabeth (nee Matheson). Father of Heidi McEwan, Michael McEwan and Kim Veley (nee McEwan). Grandchildren Jessica, Joel, Melanie. Brother Gary McEwan and wife Marilyn and sister Margaret McEwan and husband David Imrich and Treena McEwan and her husband Wally Neumann and Vivian McEwan and her husband Jim Ludington, also Aunt Audrey and Uncle Pat Millar and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
