F.R.I.Bill died suddenly on October 7, 2001, of pneumonia in his 79th year. This was a bad bug that vitamin C and positive thinking could not cure. Bill was the patriarch of a large loving family. He was blessed with a first marriage to Dorothy and together they raised 6 devoted children: Patti, Michael, Robin (Jennifer), Cathy (Jim), Bitsy and Jeff (Lissa). He continued his life with his buddy Donna and her 3 children Jim (Louise), Kelley (Mark), and Kara (Shawn). He was Grandpa Bill to Brook (Jo-Ann) and Michael (Liz), Chloe and Chelsea, Matt, Drew and Devin, David and Greg, Megan, Alex, Crystal, Jared and Sarah, Spencer, Jaxon. Bill was born in Vancouver. He enjoyed skiing, sailing, drinking coffee and reading newspapers. He had a successful real estate career in Ottawa as a broker and shone as an instructor at Algonquin College. Bill loved Vancouver. His 4 children, 2 sisters and their families who all live in Vancouver, will be celebrating his life at a special remembrance service later this year. As he requested, his body has been given to the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. Those wishing may make a donation to the Unversity of Ottawa in support of medical research would be appreciated. Friends in Ottawa are invited to come by 47 McLeod Street on Thursday, October 11, 2001, between 4 and 8 p.m. The Ottawa Citizen, October 9, 2001
