Monday, October 15, 2001. Amalia Felicita Hvala age 91. Widow of Francesco Makuc. Cherished mother of Alba (Emil Beck). Loving "Nona" of Cynthia Beck (David Whillans), Tony Beck (Moira Farr) and great-grandmother of "Cara Morgan". Predeceased by a brother Dionysus and by sisters Maria and Sofia. Amalia was born in Tribusa, Slovenia and arrived in Canada in February of 1953. She considered her years in Canada the best years of her life. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street (centretown) Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday to St. Anthony's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
