Passed away on October 17, 2001 at Circle Drive Special Care Home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of ninety-three years. She had lived on her own in Beaconsfield, Quebec until 1998 when she moved to Saskatoon to live with her daughter. Lila was predeceased by her husband Blake and daughter Donna in a car accident in 1956. Blake Sewell was the leader of a well known band in Montreal and also worked for the Montreal Gazette. Lila Sewell will be buried beside her husband and daughter in the Montreal Memorial Gardens. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, October 27 from at 2 p.m. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Les Jardins Urgel Bourgie, Montreal Memorial Gardens, 3965 Cote de Liesse at 1:45 p.m. Lila is survived by her daughter Carole Blackwell and son-in-law Marv of Saskatoon; grandson Kent Blackwell and wife Sandy (Dion) and great-grandchildren Chelsea, Tyler and Sierra of Surrey, BC; grandson Shawn Blackwell and wife Ekin (Guclu) of Vancouver, BC; nieces Teddy Aumond of Montreal and Jackie Findlay of Bayfield, ON, as well as other nieces and nephews.
