On October 18, 2001, surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully at the age of ninety, at the Lachute Residence, nineteen years after her beloved husband and partner, James Edward. Loving and devoted mother of Barbara (Paul MacDougall), James (Therese Gratton), Anne (Graeme Russell), Glenrose (the late Winston O'Brien), Robin (Freida London). Predeceased by son Rusell (Cora Armstrong) and only sister Marlowe (the late Warren Campbell) of Wyman, Quebec. Cherished grandmother of 18, great-grandmother of 25 and great-great-grandmother of 1. Survived by three sisters-in-law and mourned by many nieces, nephews and close friends. Heartfelt thanks to Shirley Watson and staff at the Lachute Residence. Private burial. A memorial service will b held on Saturday, October 27, 2001 at 2 p.m. from the Lachute United Church.
