Died peacefully in Toronto on October 18, 2001, in her 93rd year. She had been a resident at St. Hilda's Towers. Predeceased by her sister Gwynedd Grove. Cherished aunt of Malcolm Grove, great aunt of Rachael and Jessica, all of London, England. Dear and esteemed friend of the Rev. Kathleen Hagey Shires and John Shires, and Jane and Bill Dowsett. Valerie was a graduate of the Mothercraft Training School, London, England. She lived in Ottawa for many years where she was an active and faithful member of St. Matthew's and later St. Thomas, Anglican Churches. A service of thanksgiving and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday December 1, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Grimsby, Ontario, the Rev. Stewart officiating.
