Surrounded by her family, Rev. Andrea Thomas and the caring staff at the Hospice at Maycourt on Saturday, October 20, 2001, Alice Elizabeth (Stanley) of Metcalfe in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Trevor Piper. Dear mother of Elaine Foster of Kars, Myrtle (Malcolm Kennett) of Nova Scotia, Lillian Leighton-George of Kitchener, Beverly (Gary Stronach) of Nova Scotia, Marilyn (Robert Donnelly) and Kathy Piper (Mike), all of Nepean and the late Arthur (husband of Sandra). Loved by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sister of Edith Littlejohn of Prescott and the late Florence Reid and Irene Davis. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Duncan Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 6971 Bank Street, (formerly Highway 31, between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Thursday to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Metcalfe for Service at 1 p.m. Interment St. George's Anglican Cemetery, Hawthorne.
