Ethel M. ARMITAGE

(nee Armitage). Born September 7, 1914 in Edmonton, Alberta, passed away quietly at Surrey Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at age 87. She leaves her loving husband Bob; sons Ken, Doug (Mireille), Larry (Fern) and eight grandchildren. Many relatives and friends are also grieving Ethel's passing including her only sibling, sister Ella Ennis (husband Ron) and their extended family. Ethel was employed for several years with Canada Customs in Vancouver where she and Bob met. The family moved to Ottawa and enjoyed eighteen years among many wonderful friends. They returned to Burnaby in 1973 and became active members of the West Burnaby United Church. A Memorial Service will be held at the West Burnaby United Church at 6050 Sussex Ave. (off Kingsway), Burnaby, B.C. on Monday, October 29, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. Donations in Ethel's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
