Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Thursday, October 25, 2001, in his 70th year. Resident of Chesterville since 1956. Loving husband of Gerdina "Diny" VanDelst (Derks). Caring father of Derrick (LeeAnn), Chesterville; Janet, Vancouver; Karen Meek (Tracy), Mississauga; David (Fran Herzig), Russell; Peter (friend Pip), Ottawa; Mark (friend Carolyn), Guelph. Loving Opa of Matthew and Kellie VanDelst, Quinn Meek and Mitchell VanDelst. Dear brother of Martina Boersen (Ted), Joe VanDelst (Dorthea), Martin VanDelst (Lena), Cisca VanKessell (Anton), Cory VanDelst (Irene), Toni Berkers (John), Thea Scott (Ken), Anne Ulincy (Jim) and Diane Holmes (Lyman). Resting at the Chesterville Funeral Home, 62 Queen Street, where friends and relatives may call on Sunday, October 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Chesterville on Monday, October 29, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
