Peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2001 at the Pembroke General Hospital in his 78th year. Les McHugh of Esther Street, Pembroke, beloved husband of Pauline (nee Swinton/Howe) McHugh and by first marriage the late Mabel (nee Donohue) McHugh. Dear father of Larry McHugh (Maureen Boyd), Vancouver, Beth McHugh (Gary Brand) and Marietta McHugh (J.B. Billinger), both of Calgary. Predeceased by his son Mark. Loving grandfather of Meri-Beth and Les Brand and Erin McHugh and Katy-Anne Boyd. Step-father of Bob Howe, Anne Sloan, Patricia Bennett and Joan Sadler. Predeceased by his brother Clarence McHugh. Son of the late Lawrence and Vera (nee Dickson) McHugh. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning October 29 in St. Columbkille's Cathedral Pembroke at 11 o'clock. Interment St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Renfrew, Ont. In memory of Les, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Members of the R.C.L.
