Passed away peacefully in his sleep at 9 p.m. on October 28, 2001 at Mount Sinai Hospital. Predeceased by his daughter Karin-Ingrid Holzer. He is survived by his wife Erica, his son Eli and daughter-in-law Corrine, son-in-law Gilbert Holzer in Atlanta, and his six grandchildren. Service was held at 3 p.m. on October 29, 2001 at Mount Royal Cemetery where the interment took place. The Montreal Gazette, Oct. 31, 2001
