(McCormack / Hopperton). Passed away at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Ontario on Monday, October 29, 2001 in her eighty-sixth year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas McCormack (1980) and of the late George Wheeler (1989). Loving mother of Dianne (Harry) Beaty, Barbara (John) Beaman and Byron (Debbie) McCormack, all of Burlington. Cherished grandma of Bart (Rebecca), Christine (Pil Soo), Brad, Ross (Kim), Beth, Sean, Vicky (Jean Sebastien), Cayley and Alondra. Devoted great-grandma of Ryan and Justyn. Dear step-mother of the late David (Pat) Wheeler of Kitimat, B.C., George (Susan) Wheeler of Picton and Kathy (Brian) Taylor of Peterborough. Loved step-grandma of Blair, Heather and Elizabeth. Sister of the late Lesley and Emily. Sister-in-law of Sally Hopperton of Montreal. She will be dearly missed by her other relatives and many friends. Irene cherished her family above all and was an active member of her church and the Order of the Eastern Star both in Quebec and Ontario. Visitation will be held at the Armstrong Funeral Home (4275 Boul. Des Sources, Montreal Quebec,) on Friday, November 2, from 10 a.m. until a Service of the Order of the Eastern Star at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Rideau Memorial Gardens Quebec.
