At the Kemptville District Hospital on Tuesday, October 30, 2001. Age 69. William (Bill) Durant of Kemptville. Beloved husband of Verna Durant (nee Martin). Loving father of Michael (Beth) of Kemptville, Robin of Kanata, Dennis (Pat) of Smiths Falls, Neil (Kim) of Carleton Place, Heather Heaphy (William) of Burritts Rapids, Laura Monkman (Eric) of Merrickville and Chris Durant (Doug Beards) of South Mountain. Dear brother of Harry Jr. of Merrickville, Jim of Merrickville, Marion Ogilvie-Long of Toronto and Sandra Hunter of Toronto. Dear son of Mae (Vallier) and the late Harry Durant. Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Dear nephew of Winnie Durant. Predeceased by his first wife Patricia Durant (nee Dexter). Survived by extended family Don, Betty and Donald Scissons. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Grant Brown Funeral Home Rolston Chapel, Kemptville. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery, Burritts Rapids. Reception to follow at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 212 Kemptville. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
