Welcomed home by his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, November 1, 2001, at 90 years of age. John was the dearly loved husband of Thelma (Patrick), former husband of Mary (Stewart) and Eleanor (Hitsman). John is greatly missed by his cherished extended family at the Metropolitan Bible Church where he faithfully served for over 60 years as a Bible teacher, Board member and Board chairman. John was a director of Word Of Life Canada through his 90th year. Active in the business community of Ottawa as a chartered accountant, he served the Christian Business Men's Committee as Canadian and International Director. John's family will welcome friends and family to the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at the Metropolitan Bible Church on Monday, November 5 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Metropolitan Bible Church Building Fund or to Word Of Life Canada would be appreciated.
