Passed away at his home in Greenfield Park in his eighty-eighth year on November 10, 2001, husband of the late Doris Batiste and long time companion of Eileen Powell, father of Patricia and Jacklyn (Jackie) and predeceased by Sandra. Irving will be dearly missed by his brother Angus, sisters Anne (Don Bennett) and Kathleen (Warren Whitehouse), as well as his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Ethel and brothers Roy and Cecil. A Second World War Veteran serving overseas in Gt. Britain and Europe, he became a prisoner of war while serving in France. Irving was a long time member of the Royal Montreal Regiment and also of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #94 in Greenfield Park. Cremation has taken place. Services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Birch and Green, St. Lambert. The Legion Service will commence at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service.
