At Mt. Sinai Hospital on Saturday, November 17, 2001 at the age of eighty-six. Beloved wife of the late Alfons Smits. Devoted mother of Astrida Rozenbergs (late Makeis) of Paw Paw, Mi. Loving grandmother of Ingrid and Linda of Paw Paw, Mi. and Peter of Napoleon, Ohio. She is also survived by her niece Dagmara Nyman and family of Oswego, Ill., and her loving nephew Harijs and Dzidra Veinbergs of Riga, Latvia. Special thank you to all the wonderful nurses in the Palliative Care Unit of the Mt. Sinai Hospital for their care and love. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, November 22, 2001 from St. John's Estonian Church, 4345 Marcil Ave., N.D.G. at 11 a.m. Visitation one hour before services.
