Elva RANKIN

At the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 in her 83rd year. Elva Chwedchuk, beloved wife of the late Leonard Chwedchuk. Loving mother of Ann Campbell and Bill Chwedchuk (Susan Hart). Devoted grandmother of Amanda Campbell and Ryan Chwedchuk. Dear sister of Erma (Lorne) Francis, PEI and Gerald (Lila) Rankin, Forester's Falls. Sister-in-law of Lydia Richards, Essex. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Hilda Rankin. Loving aunt to her nieces and nephew. Originally of Forester's Falls, Elva worked for many years at Treasury Board. She was an active and committed community volunteer serving in many capacities including President of The Engineers' Wives Association and as a tireless supporter of St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church. Elva was an enthusiastic cottager and member of many area bridge clubs. Her friendship and generosity will be missed by many. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Thursday, November 22nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, November 23rd from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral Service will be held at St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church, 2400 Alta Vista Drive, on Friday at 1 p.m. with reception to follow. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens.
