Peacefully, November 27, 2001, surrounded by her loving children, after a brave battle with cancer. Will be sorely missed by daughters Darla Willbond (Wally), Dianne (Brian Cruickshank), son Doug (Sandy Stefanik), 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brothers Rolland (Therese) and Roger (Raymonde), nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Donna (Brian Faddies). Proudly served in the Canadian Womens Army Corps, 1943-1945, and the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Sincere thanks to Dr. Louise Coulombe, staff and volunteers at the Hospice at May Court, who caringly offered our mother comfort and dignity. A graveside funeral service to be held at 11:00 on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lanark, followed by a reception at Timber Run Golf and Country Club. Donations may be made in her name to the Hospice at May Court, 114 Cameron Avenue, Ottawa. The Ottawa Citizen, Nov. 28, 2001
