Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at Forest Heights Long Term Care Facility, age 84 years. Mrs. Tanton touched many lives, teaching piano in Toronto and Ottawa and directing the choir at Bromley Road Baptist Church in Ottawa. She was a participant in the Ten Piano Team directed by Mona Bates. Loving wife of Dr. John Tanton (retired Dentist). Dear mother of Jean Baetz and her husband Mark of Waterloo, Gordon Tanton and his wife Leslie of Aylmer, Ontario. Grandmother to Kristin, Julie, Bill and Becky. Also survived by a sister Jean DeWolfe of Arnprior. Predeceased by brothers, Arthur and Edwin Lennie. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at Grandview Baptist Church, 230 Old Chicopee Road, Kitchener at 10 a.m. with Rev. Don Howard officiating.
