Overwhelmed by many illnesses, Donald slipped away peacefully and swiftly on Friday morning, November 30, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of seventy-five. Husband of almost fifty-three years of Shirley (Verrinder). Father of Craig and Leslie. Grandfather of Kayleigh, David and Evangeline. Brother of Elvia (Lummis), Ruth (Worsley), Kathleen (Warry) and Clifton. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., D.D.O. Wednesday, December 5, 2001 from 1 to 2 p.m. The service will follow in Rideau Chapel at 2 p.m. Donations to Cancer research, St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or the Multiple-myeloma Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
