Peacefully at Laurier Manor on Friday, November 30, 2001. Gertrude Mary Smyth age 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Micky Nolan, formerly of Bowesville. Loving mother of Michael (Carole) of London, Ontario and Terry of Ottawa. Predeceased by daughters Eva Roche and Trudy Brown. Fondly remembered by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as her son-in-law Senator Douglas Roche, O.C., sister-in-law Irene Potvin and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Florence Crawford, Mina Collins, Lily Danis, Alice Lacompte, Sara Smyth, Jennie O'Brien and brother Ned Smyth. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Rd. (east of Bank) Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday to Our Lady of the Visitation Church, South Gloucester, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. Interment Parish Cemetery, where a beautiful, talented and much loved lady will be laid to rest beside her husband.
