Beloved husband of Luella (nee Johns) passed away at home with family on December 9, 2001. "Bill" was born September 22, 1913 in Moose Jaw, SK, began his career in 1940 with CBC - Radio Canada at CBK in Watrous, SK, and transferred to Montreal, PQ in 1943 where he worked until his retirement in 1976. He and Luella returned to Saskatoon in 1977. Bill was a member of the Saskatoon Amateur Radio Club and an active "ham" until November 23. Bill will be missed by his wife of fifty-eight years; son David (Sharon) and their children Hilary and Roxy; daughter Donna and her children Stephen (Nathalie) and Clifford. Funeral services were held at Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 - 4th Ave. North (corner 25th St.), on Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at 1 p.m., followed by a reception. Cremation preceded the service. Interment, immediate family only, at Woodlawn Cemetery followed by the reception. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or personal charity.
