Peacefully at St. Anne's Veterans Hospital on December 11, 2001 at the age of eighty-nine. Son of the late Ethel Pope Gilday and Dr. Frederick Gilday; brother of the late Thomas P. Gilday; survived by his sister Doreen Gilday Ditzhazy of Oregon, his son Rufus A. Gilday of London, England, his daughter Lizette J. Gilday of Montreal and his grandchildren Jenny, Peter and Danya. He served his country for five years during World War II with the Royal Navy as a Lieutenant. The family wishes to thank the Medical Staff of St. Anne's Veterans Hospital for their excellent and loving care. Donation to the Old Brewery Mission.
