(Spears). After a long illness, Jean, aged seventy-one, recently passed away in Vancouver, her daughter and grandchildren at her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Predeceased by her sister Patricia, she will forever be remembered by her daughter Laurel-Leah Still, son-in-law Jay Izeard, granddaughters Lana-Lee and Indira and brother Bill Spears. Through the years, she volunteered in many different organizations. Her memorial service was held in B.C. Donations in her name to the Canadian Kidney Foundation or the Montreal Association for the Blind would be appreciated. The Montreal Gazette, Dec. 29, 2001
