AIKENS, Opal Jones - Suddenly, at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, on Friday, December 28, 2001, surrounded by her loving family, was promoted to Glory. Predeceased by her husband Lorne. Dear mother of Gordon Ward (Elizabeth), Charlane MacKenzie (special friend Ron Fenn), Larry (Karen), Lynda Campbell (Brian) and Momma-Ho of Jennifer Lee Blair. Proud grandmother of Jennifer and Verdon Robichaud, Elliot and Andrea Ward, John MacKenzie, Rebecca, David, Marshall, Chris, Brian Jr. and Seanna (Brad Jones). Great-grandmother of Dustin, Tabitha, Sateash and Alton. Predeceased by her sons Michael and Sean, her granddaughter Abigail, great-grandson Dakota, 2 brothers Rowatt and Casey and sister Idena. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday in the Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Winchester.
