(nee Major) On Saturday, December 29, 2001 in her 86th year, peacefully at The Ottawa Civic Hospital. After a life of grace and courage, she left us with dignity and her unconditional love. Dear daughter of the late George and Lila Major. Predeceased by infant daughter Mary. Loving mother of Kimberly Gibson, her husband John and their children Lauren and Grant of Toronto; Kristen Stanley, her husband Lewis and their children Meghan and Erin of Long Sault; Mark and his wife Donna of Ottawa. Dear sister of Delta M. Lee, Mattawan, New Jersey and the late Vida M. Mills, Tarpon Springs, Florida. She will be remembered fondly as a loving aunt to Dawna, Wendy, Brendan, Patrick, Kevin and John. Eve was a devoted mother and a loyal friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. The Memorial Service will be held in the Spring at St. John's Anglican Church, South March, Ontario. Donations to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, 1053 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the family.
