Peacefully at home, after a courageous and valiant fight with cancer on December 30, 2001. Alayne of Ottawa, aged 56 years. Dearly beloved wife and best friend of Vern Smith. Alayne is survived by her cherished mother Sigrid Inglehart, of Ottawa, brothers Irving (Shirley) of Spruce Grove Alberta, and Ernest (Jackie) Inglehart of Port Alberni, B.C., niece Lori and nephews Dwayne, Martin, Bob and Kris. Predeceased by her father Carl Inglehart late of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. A Memorial Service will be held at Elizabeth Park Protestant Chapel, Building 337, Uplands Base on Thursday, January 3, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
