KATHRYN ADELE MEYERS Kathryn Adele Meyers, loving wife of Gordon, beloved mother of Grant (Lucinda) and Kim (Geoff), and sister-in-law of Bernice, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2001 after a long struggle with emphysema. Adele was born in Emo, Ont. to Grant and Vera Littlefield (nee Reid). She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Arlo and Aldie; and is survived by her sister, Lorraine Naucler (Kendall). Adele was a homemaker for many years. Later in life, she taught herself to type and worked part-time as a secretary for mental health at the Emo hospital. Adele’s passions in life were reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, and her grandchildren--Katie, Taylor, Spencer, Devin, and Danielle. Her greatest regret was that her illness prevented her from being actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives, but she participated through their stories and pictures. She loved Clearwater Lake, where she spent every summer until her illness prevented her from going. She had many special friendships with her Clearwater family. She will be missed by family, relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Kenora-Rainy River Lung Association, Box 67, Kenora, Ont., P9N 3X4, or the Emo Public Library, Box 490, Emo, Ont., P0W 1E0.
