GLADYS ANDERSON Her beautiful warmth that drew many closer to her dimmed, flickered, and went out late in the evening of Dec. 12, 2001. Gladys Anderson entered a new bright dawn. She was born Bertha Gladys McLeod on Sept. 2, 1904 in La Vallee, Ont. On Sept. 20, 1936, she married Willis Anderson in Fort Frances, Ont., and remained there until October, 1997, when she moved to Pioneer Ridge in Thunder Bay, Ont. Her beloved husband predeceased her Jan. 12, 1988 after 50 years of happiness together. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quick wit, and ready smile. Left to be thankful for having her in their lives are her daughter, Margaret Buchan (Bill); granddaughters, Kathleen Finnson (Glen) of Fort McMurray, Alta. and Janet Buchan (Jim Pagliaro) of Ottawa, Ont.; and grandsons, James Buchan (Jennifer Casselman) of Ottawa, Ont. and Peter Buchan (Rosalina Brizi) of Thunder Bay, Ont. There also are three great-grandchildren, Drew and Mitchell Finnson of Fort McMurray, Alta., and David Buchan of Thunder Bay, Ont. Nephews and nieces in Canada and the United States will remember her with great love and respect. Gladys was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. To complete her wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fort Frances, Ont. at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
