M. Jean E. Humes Mary Jean Ethel Humes 83 of Humphrey St, Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday August 25, 2002. Born in Mattawa, On, daughter of the late John and Isabelle (Babin) Carey. Jean was a former employee of the Moncton Hospital, attended St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church, member of the F.S.N.A. Veteran of the Second World War, served in Newfoundland with the R.C.A.F. and was an avid Rummy 500 card player and enjoyed her home and family. Jean will be sadly missed by her husband of over fifty six years, Cyril R. Humes; daughter, Marilyn Godfrey (Bill), Moncton; sisters, Mary Bryson, Evelyn Levasseur (Guillaume), Theresa Theriault (Lavitte), Jean Legare, Ottawa; brothers, Jules Carey, Ottawa; Maurice Carey (Madeline), Brooks, AB. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Andrew; sister, Isabelle. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Tuesday 2-4, 7-9. Moncton Legion Memorial service Tuesday evening 7 pm. Funeral mass at St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church Wednesday August 28, 2002, 10 am, Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception following the mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
