Bertha McCready JOHNSON'S MILLS - The death of Bertha McCready, age 90, wife of Arthur McCready of Johnson's Mills occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 21, 2002. Born in Johnson's Mills, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Ward) McFadden. Bertha was a generous person, who loved nature and all of God's creatures. She was a great hostess, and was well known for her needlework, knitting and sewing, much of which she donated to various organizations. Bertha will be sadly missed by her husband, Arthur, Johnson's Mills; three sons, Arthur (Joyce), Montreal, Richard (Trudy), Oshawa and Wallace (Helen), Moncton; two daughters, Elizabeth (Walter) Bourque, Antigonish, Patricia (Allan) Jones, Johnson's Mills; a brother, George McFadden, Moncton; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Hibbert, Walter and Arnold; and by sisters, Margaret and Joyce. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 24, 2002 at 11 AM. Burial in the Dorchester Rural Cemetery at a later date. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
