Olivier MELANSON

Olivier Melanson 1910 - 2002 Olivier Melanson, 92, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Scoudouc passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at the residence. Born July 7, 1910 in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Laurent Melanson and Bella Melanson. Prior to his retirement, he was a construction worker. He is survived by a daughter Yvonne Hebert (Léo-Paul) of Scoudouc; three sons, Gérard (Kathleen) of Lakeburn, Francis (Dolores Comeau) of Haute Aboujagane and Yvon of Scoudouc; a sister, Anna LeBlanc of Fox Creek; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Celia (LeBlanc) Melanson; a daughter, Geraldine Bourque; three sisters, Rose, Elizabeth and Lorraine; five brothers, Gérard, Lucien, Raymond, August and Léo. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Thursday 7 to 9p.m., Friday 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and on Saturday 10a.m. until time of departure 10:40a.m. The funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2002 at the St-Jacques le Majeur Roman Catholic Church, Scoudouc.
