Jennie Mary Crossman 1915 2002 The death of Jennie Mary Crossman, wife of the late Reginald Crossman, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Dorchester occurred at her residence on Sunday August 18, 2002 following a lengthy illness. Born in Upper Dorchester she was the daughter of the late Lee A. and Odessa (Chapman) Tingley. Before retiring Mrs. Crossman was a school teacher in Dorchester for over 25 years. She also attended the Baptist Church in Dorchester. She is survived by two sons, C. Bruce (Ethel) of Moncton and Douglas of Saint John; two sisters, Joyce (Don) Hacker and Lois Laughren of Toronto, Ont.; two brothers, Kenneth (Beckey) of Florida and Stuart (Lorraine) of Ottawa, Ont.; three grandchildren Carla, Jeremy and Shelley; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Reginald, she was predeceased by her parents Lee and Odessa; her step mother Etta Tingley as well as one sister Dorothy DeVarennes. By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to a memorial service which will be held in Dorchester at a later date. Cremation and interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
