Mrs. Frances I Gillis 1915-2002 MIRAMICHI,NB - Mrs. Frances Irene Gillis, widow of the late Henry Gillis, of the South Napan Road, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, July 29, 2002, at the age of 87. Born in Napan Bay, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Irene (MacInnis) Taylor. She was a homemaker, an adherent of Carmel United Church, Napan; a retired employee of Hotel Dieu Hospital, employed in the Dietary Dept.; a former member of both the Ladies Aid and the U.C.W., Napan units. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marie Delano (Joe), of Fort Erie, Ont., and Mrs. Bonita Lee Godfrey (Albert), of Napan; two sons, Carl Gillis (Marie), of Niagara Falls, Ont., and Allen Gillis (Helen), of Napan; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 1989; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice King; one brother, Allan Taylor. Visitation will be held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Thursday evening, from 7-9pm and Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, on Friday, August 2, 2002, at 4 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Building Fund of Carmel United Church, the Canadian Cancer Society, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
