Donald Stanley PARKER

Donald S. Parker SAINT JOHN,NB - The death of Mr. Donald Stanley Parker, of the Admiral Beatty Complex, Saint John, husband of the late Edith Bernice (Armstrong) Parker, occurred on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 following a brief illness, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Stanley Coll Parker and Elsie Stella Jeanette Luff. His stepmother was the late Vera (Daley) (Burns) Parker. Donald served in the RCAF in Canada and overseas with the British Merchant Navy, from 1944- 1948, and served for a brief period with the RCMP and RCAF. He retired from the Department of Transportation in 1977, after 25 years as an Air Traffic Controller. He is survived by two sons, Donald George (Marlene) of Dover, NB and Curtis Lee (Ann) of Campbell River, BC; one brother, Ralph (Marilyn) of Port Moody, BC; grandsons, Gregory of Moncton, Curtis and Richard of Campbell River, BC; grand-daughters, Jennifer of Moncton, April (Lawren) of Fredericton and Lisa of Campbell River, BC; step-grand-daughters, Amber, Cara and Leanne Smith of Dover, NB; one great grandson, Jessie; and two nieces. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, August 2, 2002 at 12:30 PM. Interment in Coles Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Thursday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. www.brenansfh.com
